Thin bands are very trendy however it should be worth noting that gold is a bendable metal and going 'too thin' can result in warping of the band shape over time through daily wear.

That said, the thinnest option I am willing to offer for a plain band is 1.5 mm however I always recommend 1.7 mm as the thinnest option in both plain and pavé band styles. This is still very dainty and thin just with a little more support for such a fine piece of jewellery that one would wear daily on a finger.

Athena, Juno, Petal, Clio, Venus : 1.7 mm

Hera, Shera, Cupid, Diana- 2 - 2.3 mm

How do I know what size it going to look good on mine or my partners finger?

If you are unsure of the size of stone you should purchase here are a few tips I can offer:

• Concentrate on the mm size vs the carat weight since the carat weight listed is an approximate equivalent weight to that of a diamond and therefore not 100% accurate. Moissanite weighs 10% less than a diamond does and so because we all associate the term carat as a size instead of a weight, it might get a bit confusing when trying to compare the two gemstones to each other.
• With Moissanite, the price variance between carat size is very slight, so best to select the stone size that you believe best compliments your finger instead of what the carat weight is listed as. 
• If you are unable to try these on your hand prior to purchase, the next best option would be to draw out the shape to scale on paper, cut it out and try it on your finger to get a general idea of size (regardless of how accurate the actual shape is) and determine your preference from there.

There are two colour options for your stone selection.

Colourless refers to the absence of colour within the gemstone and is equivalent to an E/F colour graded diamond.

Near colourless is a term to describe a stone that has a slight hint of a warmer/coloured tone to the stone equivalent to a G/H coloured diamond.

Using an existing ring is one of the best ways to figure out you or your partner's ring size if you are unable to be sized by a professional or are trying to keep it a secret!

• If you or your partner wears rings in general, find one that is closest to that of the intended 'ring' finger. Trace the inside of that ring on a piece of paper and measure the diameter to the most precise mm that you can. That measurement can be used to determine the size of the ring by referencing the table below or this International Ring Size chart.
• If the band you are using for reference is much thicker than the one you are purchasing you might want to reduce the size by 0.5 or half a size since thick/wide bands fit larger than a super thin band does.

Other helpful things to note:

• The average women's ring size is 6.5-7 and the average ring size for men is about 9-10.
• You want the ring to fit snug and secure on the finger to avoid the ring spinning the stone around to the bottom of your finger while you wear it. It is ok if it's a little hard to get over the knuckle as long as it's comfortable while you wear it. Many people have larger knuckles than their finger, and so it is always recommended to try and get sized by a professional when possible to determine the best fit for you.

There are a few options for stone cut depending on the shape of stone you are looking to purchase. The three options in this drop down are available for the following shapes: Oval, Cushion, Elongated Cushion, and Radiant.

The right stone in the image below is a classic 'brilliant cut', and the left stone is an example of the 'diamond cut'. The brilliant is the most classic and sharpest of all the cuts and the diamond cut is what people refer to as more of a 'shattered glass' look since it has more faceting than the brilliant cut has. Both are beautiful options and do not differ in price. 

The third option below is called the 'crushed ice' cut that has even more faceting and more of a 'shattered glass' appearance. While it photographs nicely this cut comes with my lowest recommendation as it can appear rather dull and milky looking in person.

The standard orientation for an engagement ring is North/South where the gemstone is set vertically in line with the finger. 

Modern designs have introduced an option to have the stone set East/West or sideways where the longest part of the stone goes across the finger instead.
